الأوراق

Leaves: Stalked, oval in outline, deeply pinnately divided into five to seven slightly decurrent segments. Segments wedge-shaped at the base and divided into three to seven short oblong-linear, somewhat blunt lobules. Upper leaves greatly reduced.

Inflorescence & flowers: Dense, terminal, compound, head-like corymb, with stalks shorter than the obovoid to inversely conical flower heads. Heads lack marginal ray florets. Involucre hairy; bracts blunt, the outer ones shorter and linear-spatulate, the inner ones oblong-spatulate with broadly papery tips.

Fruit: Achenes with five prominent ribs and a long, toothed crown, sometimes developed on only one side.

Recorded locations: Sannine.

Native range: Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria and Türkiye.

Introduced into: NW. Balkan Pen.
