الأوراق: Leaves: Few basal leaves, obovate to ovate and narrowed at the base; upper leaves linear and finely papillose. All leaves end in a sharp point.
الأزهار: Inflorescence & flowers: Whorls with few flowers, sometimes reduced to an opposite pair, subtended by floral leaves equalling or exceeding them. Flowers are stalked or sessile. The calyx has equal, lanceolate teeth, 2–3 mm long and as long as its tube. The pale flesh-pink corolla is 5–6 mm long, with an enclosed tube.

Habitat & elevation: Rocks on mountain slopes at higher elevations.

Lebanese distribution: Sir ed Denniye, Bcharre, Ehden, the Cedars, Sannine, Jabal Kneisse, near Zahle, and between Qannoubine and Dimane.

Syrian distribution: Slenfe.

Native range: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon-Syria, NW. Balkan Pen., Sardegna, Spain.

بنية النبات: Life-form & habit: Aromatic subshrub, branching from the base, 10–30 cm tall, finely hairy or slightly rough, especially above.
