الأوراق

Leaves: Leaflets ovate to oblong-linear, conspicuously veined and finely toothed. Stipules joined for much of their length, with a blunt free portion and cut-toothed, non-glandular margins.

الأزهار

Inflorescence & flowers: Heads on stalks much longer than the neighbouring leaves, without an involucre. Calyx tube 10-veined; teeth narrowly pointed and slightly unequal, the longest usually exceeding the tube. Corolla pink or occasionally white, more than twice as long as the calyx.

الثمار والبذور

Fruit: Oblong pod slightly protruding from the calyx and abruptly narrowed into a beak about as long as the pod body. Fruiting calyx does not enlarge.

Lebanese distribution: Nahr Ghadir, Ouzai, Bir Hassan, Beirut, Ras Beirut, Nahr Beirut, Tripoli, Beit Meri, Abey, Bikfaya, Jabal Terbol, Baskinta, Faraya, Dhour Choueir, Mdeirej, the pass above Machghara, Zellaya–Yohmor, Tlail, Yanta and Bqaatouta.

Syrian distribution: Tartous, Qalaat Marqab, coastal Banias, Safita, Ain Halakim, west of Homs, Qalaat el Hosn, Akkari–Tell Kalakh, Homs, Jabal Qasyoun, Quneitra, Massade, Banias in the south, Salkhad–Kafer, Soueida–Sale and Qanaouat.

Native range: Albania, Greece, Lebanon-Syria, Palestine, Sinai, Türkiye, Türkiye-in-Europe.
