الأوراق

Leaves: Leathery, prominently veined, oblong to lanceolate, pointed and finely toothed. Lower leaves are stalked; upper leaves clasp the stem.

الأزهار

Inflorescence & flowers: Distinct flower whorls, more widely spaced below. Broad, heart-shaped, net-veined floral bracts taper to a long point and exceed the flowers. Calyx teeth are lanceolate and fringed with hairs, about half as long as the tube. The yellow corolla has an enclosed tube.

Native range: Cyprus, Greece, Lebanon-Syria, NW. Balkan Pen., Palestine, Türkiye.
